This app is highly recommended for music teachers, students, and enthusiasts. It provides immediate access to fingerings, including alternates and trills, for the entire playable range of each instrument. You can obtain fingerings either from the written or concert pitch.

For woodwinds, the app covers a wide range of instruments such as piccolo, concert, alto and bass flutes, oboe and cor anglais, soprano, alto, bass, and contrabass clarinets, and soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones. It also includes brass instruments like F/Bb double French horn, A, Bb, C, and D trumpets (cornet, flugelhorn), Bb/F tenorbass and Bb/F/Gb/D bass trombones, euphonium and baritone, and BBb, CC, Eb, and F tubas.

The 'Piano' instrument in the app provides a simultaneous display of note names, their locations on the piano keyboard, and musical notations for up to 5 pitches in treble, alto, tenor, or bass clef. The notation can be transposed for most instrumental transpositions.

• All woodwinds have trill fingerings for minor 2nd and major 2nd intervals.
• Flutes and saxophones have additional fingerings for minor 3rd and major 3rd trills.
• Alto and tenor saxophones include altissimo fingerings up to written F, two octaves above the top line F of the treble clef.
• All woodwinds include visual guides to help understand the fingering charts better by showing the key names and locations on the instrument.
• Trombones include position guides for different valve combinations.

For select instruments, there are common clefs available. For example, bassoon and contrabassoon include treble, tenor, and bass clefs. Bb/F tenorbass trombone, Bb/F/Gb/D bass trombone, euphonium, and baritone also include treble, tenor, and bass clefs. F/Bb double French horn, BBb tuba, CC tuba, Eb tuba, and F tuba include treble and bass clefs.

In the app, the treble clef for brass instruments follows the British Band tradition of being in transposing notation for non-transposing instruments. This affects Bb/F tenorbass and Bb/F/Gb/D bass trombones, euphonium, baritone, and BBb, Eb, and F tubas.

Using the app is quite straightforward. Simply pick a written note by touching the staff to have the fingering displayed and concert pitch played. Alternatively, you can touch a button to reveal the note on the piano. Similarly, you can play a concert pitch on the piano and have the corresponding fingering displayed. Another button will reveal the transposed note written on the staff.

• If there are alternate fingerings available for a note or trill, you can navigate through them using a button.
• The 'Play Note' or 'Play Trill' button allows you to repeatedly hear what's being displayed.
• The mute button allows you to access the fingerings without hearing the pitches.

To select a pitch in the app, you can either use the staff (transposed for the current instrument) or the piano (concert pitch). Using the staff, simply touch and slide up and down to select the note. Sliding to the right or left of the note will indicate sharps and flats. Using the piano, you can drag in the area below the keyboard to move it, touch to play notes, and touch and slide to change the pitch. Notation for glissando up the keyboard will be shown as raised values (sharps), while glissando down will be shown as lowered values (flats). Additionally, you can use the up and down arrows to move chromatically without touching the staff or piano keyboard.
